LR Short Photography and it's photographers

LR Short Photography is a small family business run by myself Lauren and my husband Richard Short. We first launched LR Short Photography in May 2013 and it has been growing ever since.

We are based in Sidcup, specifically Blackfen but we cover all the surrounding areas such as, but limited to, Orpington, St Pauls Cray, Welling,  Eltham, Bexleyheath, Barnehurst, Erith and Dartford.

Although we launched the business in 2013 my excitement for photography started from a young age. I used to spend many hours capturing beautiful landscape photos or stunning flower photos. I knew eventually I wanted to put my skills to a new adventure.

When we are on a photo session, you will find me behind the camera capturing your beautiful photos. Being a mother myself I am really passionate about capturing those special moments of your baby / child. I understand just how much the photos will mean and how you will want to treasure them forever. Because of this, I put a lot of effort into the quality of your photos.

We are both very friendly and patient and for your added  peace of mind both of us are DBS checked and I am Pediatric first aid trained.

When I am not on a photo session I am usually improving my skills by photographing my own toddlers or attending photography workshops (that is when the boys allow me too!).

Richard on the other hand is usually working behind the scenes or volunteering at the local cub and scout group.

What we offer

Butterfly

Photos? Well yes but there is so much more to it than that. Let's start from the beginning.

We pride ourselves on giving our clients a friendly service from beginning to end. I find it really frustrating when you are trying to enquire about a service and then get hassled to make a booking. So we won't do it to you.

We answer all our messages by simply answering your questions and we leave it up to you to tell us if you want to make a booking.

We always check that you have read our contract before paying a deposit as we want you to be completely happy with what to expect from us.

Once you have made a booking one of us will be in contact the day before to make sure your baby / child is still in good health and ready for their photo session.

On the day I will be working along side Richard or I will be on my own but the end results will still be the same, amazing photos!

I know how difficult children can be especially when you want them to smile for a photo, but don't worry I am very patient and friendly and it doesn't usually take long for children to warm up to me.

Once the photo session has finished, the hard work really begins. That is for you to be patient whilst I work my magic on your photos.

It usually takes about a week to get your photos touched up, enhanced and saved to a high resolution and back to you. Trust me, the wait will be worth it.

I know just how precious photos of our children are and I put this passion into my work for you to enjoy your photos for years to come.

Once you have your photos, you can share or duplicate them however you choose. I keep a copy of the photos for a minimum of 6 months so in the unlikely event you miss place them, let me know.

What others think

LR Short Photography photographers team

I care deeply about what other people think of me and the service I provide. So I strive to give you the service you expect.

So far both Richard and I have done just that. We have a full 5* rating on Facebook and we aim to keep it that way.

Take a look at the reviews page to see what previous clients have said about us. Although I enjoy reading all of our reviews the one that I feel sums up what we both want to achieve was from Sophie Buckberry.

"Thank you so much for our daughter's cake smash photos. We have today received our photos and are extremely happy with how they turn out. Very quick turnaround! We cant choose which ones to print! Lauren and Richard were very professional and patient. Once again a big thank you!!!" ~ Sophie Buckberry 19.06.19
