Whether you have little children, big children or children with their own children, a family photoshoot is the perfect way to document your story. I’ve learnt a lot over the years of being a photographer about what what makes family sessions work. Patience, fun and capturing your natural interaction with each other.
The studio is kept a relaxing atmosphere and I work with your family to ensure that you feel comfortable at all times.
I pride myself in building a rapport with families and often have families returning over and over again. I provide a first class experience from the first time we speak at enquiry, all the way to when you receive your beautifully presented images. I’ll provide you with a beautiful gallery of images that can be cherished and passed through the generations.
If you decide to have a family photoshoot with me, this can either be at my home studio in Sidcup, or if you prefer this can be at one of Kent’s beautiful parks or woodlands

– A relax hour session at my custom-built home studio in Sidcup

– Full access to baby outfits (up to 18 months), blankets, and accessories
– A private, in-person viewing appointment 1-2 weeks after your session
– Around 30+ beautifully captured images to choose from
– 10 fully edited images available for download, with the option to purchase more if you can’t decide

the studio
LR Short Photography’s cozy home studio is located in the Sidcup area of Kent (DA15). Just a short drive from London and also local to Bexley, Orpington, Chislehurst, Bromley and Dartford.
The studio was purpose-built with your precious babies in mind, creating a safe space for newborns, older babies and families. It is warm, cosy and a relaxing space for you to spend a few hours, whilst I capture your beautiful memories.
I stock a selection of maternity dresses for you to borrow for your photoshoot.

To get started, simply fill out my contact form with your due date, and I’ll send you a full pricing guide. I recommend booking in advance, ideally after your 12-week scan, as I only accept a limited number of newborn sessions each month. My schedule fills up 3-4 months ahead, but feel free to reach out for last-minute availability – I may still be able to accommodate you. To secure your session, a £99 deposit is required.
