LR Short Photography’s cozy home studio is located in the Sidcup area of Kent (DA15). Just a short drive from London and also local to Bexley, Orpington, Chislehurst, Bromley and Dartford.

The studio was purpose-built with your precious babies in mind, creating a safe space for newborns, older babies and families. It is warm, cosy and a relaxing space for you to spend a few hours, whilst I capture your beautiful memories.

I stock a selection of maternity dresses for you to borrow for your photoshoot.

HOW TO BOOK

Get in touch

To get started, simply fill out my contact form with your due date, and I’ll send you a full pricing guide. I recommend booking in advance, ideally after your 12-week scan, as I only accept a limited number of newborn sessions each month. My schedule fills up 3-4 months ahead, but feel free to reach out for last-minute availability – I may still be able to accommodate you. To secure your session, a £99 deposit is required.

Your Session

When you arrive at the studio, it’s time to relax and let me take the lead! Your session will last 1-3 hours, and I’ll ensure everything goes smoothly. You’ll have full access to newborn outfits, blankets, and accessories. After your session, you’ll receive 10 digital images, with the option to purchase additional photos during your viewing appointment.

Your viewing appointment

At your viewing appointment, you’ll see your final gallery and be amazed at how much your little one has grown in just a few weeks. I’ll guide you through selecting your images, as well as choosing products and artwork to display in your home. The remaining balance of your session fee will be due at this time.

FAQ

We book your session in ideally anytime between 32-36 weeks of pregnancy. Your bump is beautifully round at this stage and mummies-to-be are usually not too uncomfortable yet. It is best to book your session in once you have had your 20 week scan, to ensure availability around the 32-36 week mark.

Twin sessions are usually booked in from 26 weeks, due to potential prematurity and we don’t want you to miss out!

Maternity sessions usually last around 1 hour. This enables plenty of time for multiple outfit changes/poses. This may go over a little, if sibling and family photos are included.

Yes, absolutely! Your children should be included in this wonderful time and classes as bonding time! Partners ae also encouraged to be included.

Well behaved pets are of course welcome, they are likely your first baby afterall!

You will return to the studio for your private in-person viewing appointment, within two weeks following your photoshoot. Digitals can be taken away with you and prints and products will take up to four weeks.
