What is it like to have a newborn photoshoot with LR Short Photography?
Firstly, I have a beautiful little photography studio based in the Blackfen area of Sidcup. My aim is to ensure that the process from first enquiring, all the way to receiving your final products is as smooth as possible. Having a newborn baby is hard work, so I want to ensure that you have a stress free and wonderful experience of your baby’s newborn photoshoot.
WHEN TO BOOK?
It’s important to book your newborn session as soon as possible after your 20 week scan. I only book a limited number of photoshoots per month, to allow a little wriggle room for babies that arrive earlier, or later than expected. The ideal timeframe to book your photoshoot is within the first two to three weeks after birth. This is when they are the most sleepy and still love to be curled up into those adorable newborn poses.Once your photoshoot is booked in and we have confirmed your date once baby has arrived, you will have a pre-session consultation via phone or email. Your photoshoot is bespoke, so you are able to choose the props, outfits etc that are included in your session.
YOUR NEWBORN PHOTOSHOOT
My newborn sessions usually last around 2-3 hours. This is to ensure that the session is as relaxed as possible and also to provide plenty of time for feeding breaks and of course lots of cuddles! I always work at the pace of your baby, so if we need to pause, then we will pause. You will work closely with me throughout the session, helping to select the outfits that you would like incorporated in your photos. My studio is a cosy and relaxing space and I keep a supply of water, hot drinks and the biscuit tin is always well stocked. I have a range of products and product guide that you can browse through whilst I am photographing your precious bundle, in preparation for your viewing and ordering session.
THEN IT’S TIME TO
VIEW YOUR IMAGES
Two-three weeks after your photoshoot with LR Short Photography, you will be invited back to the studio for your viewing and ordering session.
During your ordering session I will have a selection of products available to order if you wish to, such as canvases, framed prints, acrylics and folio boxes. Your order will then be available to pick up around two-three weeks after your ordering session for you to enjoy and show off to your family and friends.
